There are many different ways that lead to Eschenlohe or start here or can be continued here. Whether it is the popular Bodensee-Königsee-Radweg or the Maximiliansweg, on which you can hike through the Bavarian Alps from Lake Constance to Lake Königsee. Eschenlohe is also a stopover for the alpine crossingg Via Alpina, which extends from the Slovenian Karawanken mountain range to the Allgäu region. Those who want to go on a short hiking tour will experience places of unique power on the Meditationsweg.
Moreover, Eschenlohe is also the perfect point of departure to start mountain tours in the mountain range of the Estergebirge, such as Hohe Kiste or Krottenkopf. A good place for staying overnight here is the Weilheimer Hütte, an alpine hut at the Krottenkopf, which is owned by the German Alpine Association DAV.
Short hiking tours such as the nature discovery trail and the gorge of the Asamklamm are particularly attractive to children. For those who prefer hiking without hills and slopes, the Murnauer Moos nature reserve is particularly suitable; with a size of 32 square kilometers, it is the largest Central European moor region naturally preserved.
