Ski and Snowboard
Where the best skiers of the world meet, at the Ski World Championship in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, there are, of course, top conditions for all skiers and snowboarders on an area of 65 kilometers, snow from November until May, perfectly prepared tracks and most spectacular views make skiing in our region a special treat!
Absolute guarantee for snow!
Snow is guaranteed on perfect tracks on the ample Zugspitz glacier, the “Zugspitzplatt”, as it is called, where beginners find wide and gentle runways, while advanced skiers find their challenge further down, for example, in the valley of the “Weißes Tal”. You can reach the glacier either by a cogwheel railway right through Germany’s highest mountain or by cable car from the summit of the Zugspitze.
For all newcomers and beginners there are smaller ski slopes in the ZugspitzLand, for example, in Farchant, Oberau and Eschenlohe. Another insider’s tip is the” Skikinderland” at Mount Hausberg, which offers great attractions for the young ski enthusiasts.
