Mountain Cable Cars

With the mountain cable cars and cog railway, visitors of all ages and physical ability can comfortably ascend to the top of Mount Zugspitze to experience the incredible sensation of being on the highest German mountain.

Mount Zugspitze
Top of Germany! At a height of 2,962 meters (9,717 ft.) above sea level, Mount Zugspitze is a mountain of superlatives: The highest elevation in Germany boasts the only glacier in the country, an unmatched 360° panoramic view of all of the peaks of the Alps in four countries, and so much more!  Don’t miss to use the new record-breaking cable car having the word’s highest steel cable-car support for aerial tramways, the world’s biggest overall difference in altitude of 1,945 m in one section as well as the world’s longest free span field of 3,213 meters. Treat yourself to a unique experience!

Garmisch Classic with Mount Alpspitze and Mount Kreuzeck
The Garmisch Classic skiing area meets the expectations of skiers of all levels providing everything from gentle to truly steep slopes. The combination of the three skiing regions Hausberg, Kreuzeck and Alpspitze have created an area comprising 40 kilometers of runways and four valley runs which can also be covered with artificial snow.
In summer, the mountains between Alpspitze and Kreuzeck form a gorgeous hiking area – easily accessible also by cable car and lifts.
Our tip: Dare to step on the AlpspiX viewing platform!

Mount Wank
Ascend to the top of this summit at 1,780 meters (5,840 ft.) above sea level and just across from Mount Zugspitze, and enjoy an awesome panoramic view of the Esterberg, Ammer, Karwendel, and Wetterstein mountain ranges.

Laber Cable Car
Slow down and enjoy a ride on the nostalgic Laber cable car in Oberammergau and restore your body, soul and mind.

Kolbensattel Double Chair Lift
